11/12/06 LIVE PERFORMANCE ON TV!
ASHRAF has teamed up with CanadianMusicTV.net to broadcast a special episode featuring live performances by the band along with other talented local acts as part of the Toronto New Music Pizza Parties. CanadianMusicTV is a half-hour program airing nightly on local cable TV to an estimated 1.5 million GTA viewers, showcasing some of the finest independent musicians across Canada. Tune in starting Monday, November 27 at 2:30 a.m. on Rogers cable channel 17/18 to watch segments from our last live music pizza party event, broadcast nightly for one week.

10/05/06 ASHRAF WINS BEST R & B AWARD!
At the Toronto Independent Music Awards at The Phoenix Concert Theatre, ASHRAF was named Toronto's best rhythm & blues artist. ASHRAF will perform at the Phoenix in October 2007 at next year's showcase of 2006 winners.

09/13/06 NOMINATED FOR MUSIC AWARD!
At a showcase performance at Healey's in July, the producers and judges of the Toronto Independent Music Awards swayed and danced along with ASHRAF as the band put on an energetic set of groovin' and rockin' tunes from the debut CD, including the jazzy and hard-hitting "Vision of Heaven," the sexy and invigorating "Kiss" and the single, "Shatter." Interestingly, ASHRAF was nominated for the "Best R & B Artist" award, which is not exactly the genre of music the band is commonly associated with, however it goes to show how eclectic the band's sound actually is. The award show will take place on October 5th at The Phoenix Concert Theatre.

08/12/06 TAGWORLD SONG REVIEW CONTEST!
We've recently finished building a website on Tagworld.com featuring 15 individual web pages dedicated to each song from the debut album "Perfect Chaos". The individual song web pages currently feature the tunes streaming the background along with new pictures, song descriptions, lyrics, and the stories behind them. Fans and friends are encouraged to post their own song reviews on each page in order to qualify to win fantastic prizes each week including: exclusive MP3 downloads, CDs, DVD and more! The authors of the most insightful and genuine review will be notified by email and announced on the Tagworld homepage.

08/04/06 ASHRAF SIGNS WITH DMX MUSIC!
ASHRAF has recently signed a licensing agreement with DMX MUSIC to have his entire catalogue of instrumental and full-album tracks broadcast on their satellite music service. DMX has an estimated 80,000,000 daily listeners and they provide commercial-free music service to over 180,000 businesses and 60,000,000 homes across North America! So the next time you go out for dinner, you might hear an ASHRAF song playing in the background!

07/10/06 SHATTER VIDEO HITS EUROPE!
The Music Video for the single "SHATTER" has been selected to be featured at the 2006 DigiMusic Festival taking place in several locations across Europe starting in mid-October 2006. The video will be aired as part of the exhibit in various cities across Italy including Florence, Milan, Venice and Udine.

06/27/06 ASHRAF PERFORMING TO 50,000+ PEOPLE
ASHRAF has been invited to perform at the 2006 Toronto Night Market on July 7-8 at Metro Square in Markham. The event is organized by the non-profit organization Power Unit, and is expected to draw more than 50,000 attendees with sponsors including Pepsi, Frito Lay, CTV, Talentvision, TorontoTV and Fairchild Television. We are scheduled to perform at 9:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 8, and will be donating 50% of the proceeds from all CD sales to the charitable cause.

06/25/06 SHATTER VIDEO AIRS ON SATELLITE TV!
The music video for ASHRAF's first single "Shatter" will air on the television program "Dave's Indie Rock Talk" (D.I.R.T.) on Canada Day (Saturday, July 1) at 1:00 a.m. Pacific Time. D.I.R.T. airs on CJDC - CH 5 in Dawson Creek, British Columbia, and across Canada on Star Choice Satellite Television, channel 323.

The MusicDish Network announced that it recently added Toronto-based band ASHRAF to its roster of independent artists and bands. ASHRAF will benefit from this association by leveraging the company's marketing services including syndicated and community marketing, online street teaming, webradio promotion, regional market development and representation at major music conferences.

05/19/06 - GETTING PHYSICAL BABY!
ASHRAF's debut album "PERFECT CHAOS" is now available to over 2,400 physical CD stores worldwide. Through an independent distribution deal with Super D, one of the world's largest CD distributors, ASHRAF Fans around the globe will have the chance to purchase a copy of the album at their favourite local record store. 05/05/06 - LASTING IMPRESSIONS!
After putting on a breathtaking set at DeGrassi House last night, ASHRAF was offered a monthly residence beginning in August at one of Toronto's hottest live music venues. "YOU GUYS SOUND INCREDIBLE!" hailed Robert Van Velthuizen, the owner of the venue. Starting in August 2006, ASHRAF will be taking the stage on a regular basis at their new residency at DeGrassi House.
